Summer Student - Instructor I, Specialty

The Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is responsible for building a healthy, inclusive and vibrant City. Under the guidance of a Program Coordinator or other supervisor, you are responsible for assisting with planning and implementing program content and for the instruction, coaching or coordination of introductory specialty sport/art programs and/or summer camps.

Requirements

• High School Student - minimum Grade 10
• Note: Student must be returning to school in the fall
• Less than 4 months of related experience is required
• Demonstrated experience in sport specialty area
• Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C and AED certificates
• AODA Accessibility/IASR Training
• Appropriate coaching certification in a relevant specialty recreation/sports program is desirable
