Garage Attendant

The Transit Fleet and Facilities Maintenance team provides safe, reliable, efficient, timely and cost-effective transit vehicle maintenance services to support federally regulated transit services within the City of Ottawa. You are responsible to perform manual work servicing buses, transit vehicles and related equipment, and may perform a variety of miscellaneous relief work within a variety of work units.

Requirements

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of practical experience in an automotive garage, or building or vehicle cleaning environment, or heavy vehicle/equipment operation
• Valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerit points accumulated
