Job Description
This position is for a Police Officer, which is a non-entry level position in the police department, involved in the protection and safeguarding of life and property. Police Officers are responsible for enforcing state and municipal laws, investigations, and responding to emergencies. They work under the supervision of a Sergeant and must report to and be reviewed by a Police Sergeant.
Requirements
- Must meet all requirements of the Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Law, including being a citizen of the United States.
- After offer of employment, must pass a medical examination prepared and administered by the Appointing Authority.
- Must be not less than twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
