Afterschool Staff

The Afterschool Staff position is located at the Hammond Recreation Center, responsible for assisting in organization and operation of afterschool activities, providing direction in educational and recreational activities onsite and offsite.

Requirements

• Assisting with organization, planning, leading and teaching of one or more activity classes of the afterschool program
• Acting as advisor, counselor, and go-to person for the group of participants
• Communicating, enforcing, and adhering to rules and regulations for operation, safety and welfare of participants
• Reporting to supervisor on activities, participants, plans, programs, problems and needs
• Maintaining appropriate records, inventories, making reports
