Job Description
The role of an Accountant II is to perform accounting duties under supervision, including general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting, and record keeping. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with budget preparation, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. The position requires attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to accounting standards.
Requirements
- Perform professional accounting functions in compliance with generally accepted accounting practices.
- Post data to various ledgers, registers, journals, and logs according to established accounting standards and procedures.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations and financial reports.
- Maintain the integrity, professionalism, values, and goals of the City.
