This role focuses on technical claim handling for Chubb insureds nationwide, managing complex medical liability claims and coordinating with internal and external business partners.
Requirements
- Confirm coverage of claims by reviewing policies and documents
- Analyze coverage and communicate coverage positions
- Conduct investigation into loss facts and extent of third-party damages
- Schedule and conduct claim assessments and audits
- Direct and monitor assignments to experts and underlying defense counsel
- Evaluate information on complex coverage, liability, and damages
- Set reserves within authority or make claim recommendations
- Proactively manage a claim inventory and negotiate cases to an acceptable resolution
- Report to reinsurers and facilitate the prompt collection of reinsurance
- Travel to conferences, mediations, and trials
