Phlebotomist/Med Lab Assistant - Part Time

Children's Wisconsin is seeking a Phlebotomist/Med Lab Assistant to perform tasks relating to specimen procurement, processing, distribution, and resulting, as well as phlebotomy and capillary puncture procedures on patients ranging from neonates through adults.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• One year laboratory experience preferred or experience as medical assistant preferred
• Basic knowledge of phlebotomy, reagents, equipment, and equipment maintenance preferred
• Analytical ability to organize work, determine specimen requirements, and correctly identify patients
• Interpersonal skills to explain phlebotomy procedures to patients
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when drawing and handling patient specimens
