Job Description
Chicago Public Media is a mission-driven local news organization seeking a Data Platform Engineer to build, maintain, and improve the data pipelines that power their organization. The role focuses on integrating data from various sources, ensuring data reliability, and supporting critical platforms like CRM, ESP, and analytics environments. This is a hybrid, full-time position based in Chicago, IL.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a data engineering, systems integration, or similar role.
- Proficient in Python (Or Equivalent) and SQL.
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Postgres).
- Comfortable navigating and troubleshooting legacy pipelines and code.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
