We are looking for a Weekend Shift Painter to join our team at CPI's Georgetown, Texas location. As a Painter, you will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment to paint products with powder coat. You will work weekends and keep your weekdays free, with a flexible schedule of Friday - Sunday, 6:00am - 6:00pm. Requirements
- Under minimal supervision, sets up powder coat and related equipment to engineering specifications
- Uses spray gun to apply powder base paint to products
- Determines paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by performing visual inspections or by using viscometers
- Operates auxiliary equipment used in the painting process to include the wash tank and oven
- Inspects and maintains equipment for compliance with safety requirements
- Resolves quality and mechanical problems, making minor repairs and equipment adjustments as needed
- Prepares parts for rework and applies powder to correct coating defects
- Cleans and maintains equipment
- Conducts minor preventative maintenance on paint equipment as required by the preventive maintenance program
- Records operational data on specified forms to track downtime, efficiency, and quality checks
- Assists and trains others to paint
- Works from blueprints, engineering specifications and production schedules
