Chart is seeking a Mechanical Design Systems Engineer to perform design engineering functions for Reciprocating Compressors Packages in North America, including creating production drawings and support new product/project development and product enhancements.
Requirements
- Specify and size system components to support the compressor
- Create equipment production drawing and bill of material packages for manufacturing
- Create and release 3D Models, General Arrangements, P&ID, and bill of material for manufacturing
- Perform engineering analyses via various internal software programs, excel spreadsheets, or hand calculations in regards to strength of materials, statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, vibrations, and sound
- Perform material selection, review and compare to industry specifications, and minor failure analysis
- Perform technical review of customer/project specifications
- Develop schedules for the engineering execution of each project
- Perform engineering design support for sales, supply chain development, and product development/product enhancements
- Compose technical reports and procedures in support of project execution, sales support, and product development
- Review drawings, data sheets, and procedures from sub-suppliers
- Review design/project changes
- Support manufacturing of final product
- Provide technical assistance to aftermarket, field services, and shared services
- Participates in process improvements
- Represents the Company with customers and business partners
