Job Description
This part-time position within the McDonough High School athletics department involves assisting with the development of a coaching program. The assistant coach will work with the head coach, oversee all levels of the sport, instill character, and communicate with students, parents, and administration. This role focuses on skill development and leadership within the school community.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Charles County Public Schools extra-curricular handbook and athletics policies.
- Ability to obtain a Maryland Certificate under COMAR 13A.
- Experience with a State Department of Education certified professional educator.
- Completion of two years of emergency coaching.
- Experience in a successful emergency coaching role at the school of hire.
- Eligibility to hold a Maryland certificate under COMAR 13A.12.01.
- Certified as a professional educator by the State Department of Education (MPSSAA/MSDE Coaching Certification).
