Job Description
The Senior Program Manager leads and coordinates a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts (SMEs) to advance planning, execution, and evaluation of programs within the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role serves as the primary liaison between executive leadership and SME staff, ensuring project alignment with VA objectives and compliance. Responsibilities include supervision of SMEs, program planning and monitoring, collaboration, reporting, and conflict resolution.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master’s preferred) in a field relevant to program management or the SME discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years progressive experience in program or project management, preferably in a complex healthcare or government setting.
- Demonstrated leadership over multidisciplinary or technical teams.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Experience with budgeting, resource management, and project evaluation.
