Senior AI Engineer (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our growing R&D team. The role involves working on complex document analysis, building generative AI products for regulatory compliance, and designing and implementing AI systems for extraction of named entities, relationships, and references within regulatory documents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in industry (preferably consulting clients across more than one domain)
• 2+ years in industry and a PhD in a relevant field of study such as computer science, mathematics or physics
• Experience with complex document analysis
• Experience building AI-based applications using both LLM APIs and self-hosted models
• Familiarity with AI agents, deep-search techniques, or preferably both
• Experience with multimodal embeddings and vector-based retrieval systems
• Knowledge and hands-on experience evaluating LLM applications for accuracy, performance, and business impact
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion
• Experience presenting technical work to non-technical stakeholders and executives
• Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining production ML systems in Python
• Experience with at least one cloud platform
• Fluent spoken and written English
