Senior Research Scientist

Cerence is looking for a Senior Research Scientist to join its Modeling team, working on advanced AI modeling, ASR, and GenAI models for the automotive and mobility markets. The candidate will analyze customer requirements, develop and optimize algorithms, and collaborate with application engineers and QA teams.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field
• 3 or more years of work experience
• Good oral and written knowledge of English
• Solid background in ASR with familiarity in acoustic modeling and ASR tools
• Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages (Bash, Python, Matlab etc.)
• Hands-on experience in speech recognition accuracy evaluation and performance tuning
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently
• Positive attitude, well organized, focusing on achieving results cost-effectively
