Job Description
Center For Positive Changes (CFPC) is seeking a Child Care Worker (CCW) to join their team. The CCW will ensure the STRTP facility operates as a strength-based family-friendly environment, provide care and supervision to residents in the therapeutic home setting, and comply with CFPC policy and applicable regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree (if hired after January 1, 2017)
- Valid Child Development Teaching Permit, Alcohol Counselor Certificate, and/or Drug Counselor Certificate
- Completed 12-semester units of Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, or Foster and Kinship Care Education or related field
- At least 1 year of experience working at STRTP or similar population
- At least 100 hours of experience working with youth as a mentor, athletic coach, teacher, vocational coach, tutor, counselor, or other relevant experience
- Relevant life experience in the child welfare, mental health or juvenile justice systems as a consumer, mentor, or caregiver or other relevant experience as determined by CFPC
