Staff Engineer, Mechanical Design

The Staff Engineer, Mechanical Design develops new mechanical systems/modules and maintains existing designs. Provides support throughout the manufacturing process of the mechanical system that they have designed.

Requirements

• Lead the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for complex projects
• Provide technical leadership and direction to a sizable team of engineers
• Take responsibility for non-technical elements of an engineering project
• Review and interpret customer requirements/specifications
• Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions
• Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs
• Use customer feedback and data to upgrade, improve or repair the company's existing machines
• Provide support during the manufacturing process
• Finalize designs and send prints to the production department
