Litigation Specialist

The Liability Litigation Specialist manages a dedicated caseload of litigated municipal liability claims and high exposure not yet litigated claims exclusively within the State of Illinois. This position supports a major municipal client and includes responsibility for complex claims, including bodily injury, civil rights litigation, employment-related liability, and reinsurance-reportable matters.

Requirements

• Minimum 15+ years of multi-line claim experience
• Minimum 10+ years of municipal litigation experience (Illinois preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Illinois liability, municipal immunity, and civil rights statutes
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate, evaluate damages, and manage complex litigation files
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including coverage letter drafting
• Ability to manage a high-level litigated caseload with accuracy, urgency, and sound judgment
