Job Description
The Fluids Lab Technician I is responsible for carrying out the daily activities of the fluids lab as directed by the Fluids Lab Manager.
Requirements
- Collect/Sort daily fluid sample shipments.
- Prepare solutions, reagents & standards according to standard lab formulas.
- Analyze oil, coolant & fuel samples as directed.
- Enter sample results from each instrument into appropriate software.
- Maintain/Organize lab records.
- Monitor supply inventory levels.
- Maintain assigned laboratory instruments daily.
- Assist on the disposal of fluids and or supplies upon test completion.
- Research Caterpillar technical information through SIS and other resources.
- Assist in the mailing and distribution of sample report results.
- Complete required safety and technical training required to perform this role.
- Serve as a back up to other lab positions and cross-train.
- Other duties may be assigned.
