Job Description
CaptiveAire is a leading commercial kitchen ventilation system manufacturer seeking a Safety Engineer to assist in the development and implementation of new safety projects and programs. The role involves participating in safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining a strong safety culture within the manufacturing facility. The engineer will be responsible for reporting to the plant Safety Manager and conducting various safety audits and inspections.
Requirements
- Report to the plant Safety Manager
- Assist in development and implementation of new safety projects and programs
- Develop and maintain all training programs for new equipment/process
- Research and procure items needed for plant safety improvements
- Ensure plant is OSHA compliant
- Understand and reference all applicable OSHA regulations
- Enforce compliance of PPE and safe work practices
- Maintain records of safety-related documents
- Perform monthly plant safety audits
