Instrument Processing Technician

The Instrument Processing Technician works under the direction of the Sterile Processing Manager to maintain the safety and sterility of instruments and patient equipment. Responsibilities include instrument loading/unloading, sterilization, decontamination, inspection, and instrument assembly. The role involves ensuring all procedures are performed correctly and consistently.

Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalent
• Associate degree program or higher
• Prior experience as a central service technician in a sterile processing department
• Successful completion of sterilization, decontamination, and instrumentation competencies within 6 months of hire
