DevOps Engineer

Canals is a bootstrapped, profitable startup transforming wholesale distribution—a trillion-dollar industry—with AI. We're looking for a senior-level DevOps engineer to build and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable systems to support continuous delivery, monitoring, and growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Strong experience with AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Expertise with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in Docker and container orchestration (ECS or Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
• Experience securing systems and managing secrets, permissions, and network policies.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working remotely in a fast-moving, product-focused environment.
