Principal UI Engineer

As a Principal UI Engineer at Cadence, you will work with designers, scientists, and software engineers to enhance and extend Orion's UI capabilities, working on challenges across scientific visualization, collaboration, data management, and new product and feature development.

Requirements

• BS in computer science/engineering, biology/chemistry or similar with a minimum of 7 years of experience
• MS with a minimum of 5 years of experience
• PhD with a minimum of 1 year of experience
• Experience designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging complex user interfaces and software systems as part of a team
• Expert in JavaScript/Typescript/CSS/HTML
• Experience with Vue, Pinia/VueX and application frameworks such as Nuxt.js / Next.js.
• Experience in Life Sciences, HPC, Python, AWS, Web Workers, WebAssembly, and WebGL are a plus
• Experience with unit & end-to-end testing, CI/CD, source control, code review, comfortable using command line interfaces
• Strong background of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms)
• Passionate to learn and explore new technologies and demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills
