The Service Technician I – Dedicated is responsible for providing basic technical support for the telecommunications systems through the assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of the telecommunications systems, including its equipment and peripherals.
Requirements
- Installs various types of low-voltage communications cable and wire, testing to ensure installation meets minimum transmission line standards and characteristics
- Installs and tests telecommunications terminal equipment and peripherals
- Responds to service requests as required
- Performs Move, Add and Change activities as required
- Participates in new installation and major upgrade activities
- Interprets and uses worksheets, service orders, blueprints and other documentation to ensure proper installation of products
- Prepares and maintains installation records and documentation
