Job Description
Buyers Edge Platform is seeking a Director of Convenience Store Procurement to drive category growth and profitability by developing and executing strategic procurement initiatives. This role focuses on strengthening supplier partnerships, negotiating agreements, and ensuring optimal product assortment. The Director will lead category strategy, financial planning, and represent the company at industry events.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement, category management, or merchandising in convenience retail, grocery, or CPG industries.
- Demonstrated success developing procurement strategies that increase sales and profitability.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Advanced analytical and financial acumen with strong Excel/data capabilities.
- Knowledge of consumer packaged goods (CPG) and convenience retail trends.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with supply chain procurement contracts.
- Knowledge of the foodservice industry is required.
