Principal Investigator I, Discovery Biology

Brii Bio is seeking a highly skilled biologist to lead and conduct experimental biology studies in all phases of exploratory and discovery biology. The role will involve developing assays and methods to characterize novel biology, delineate mechanisms to discover new drug candidates, and working closely with a global discovery team to incorporate new technologies to facilitate the progression of novel clinical candidates.

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, immunology or a related discipline
• In-depth knowledge with hands-on experience in several key areas including biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, and immunology
• Understanding of advancing platform technology areas including CRISPR/Cas9, gene editing, RNAi, siRNA, antisense oligos, vector delivery methods, antibody drug conjugates, mRNA vaccine and bioinformatics systems
• Experience leading drug discovery program biology as part of a larger research team
• Line management of 1–3-person research team
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate in a team-oriented environment
• Solid track record of completing challenging technical problems independently and creatively, exemplified by publication of research in high-quality scientific journals
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills and ability to work efficiently and productively in a dynamic, scientifically rigorous, and fast-paced environment
