Job Description
PharMerica is seeking a highly capable and motivated individual to join our team as a PRN Hospital Pharmacist. This position will provide the opportunity to grow your pharmaceutical skills under the direct guidance of a state licensed pharmacist while providing essential care to our patients in our closed-door pharmacy.
Requirements
- Evaluates physician medication orders for appropriateness
- Maintains patient/resident database
- Ensures laboratory tests are ordered and evaluated
- Collaborates with the healthcare team
- Documents all communication in the medical record
- Implements policies and procedures for safe drug procurement and use
- Assists facility/agency staff with procedures relating to safe and effective methods of procuring, maintaining, administering and disposing of drugs
