Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in supporting the pharmacist team to deliver high-quality, comprehensive care management to patients with diverse medical needs. Serving as a key liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies, the Pharmacy Technician ensures a seamless and personalized pharmacy experience by handling non-clinical aspects of care with efficiency and compassion.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
- Registered and licensed with the Massachusetts State Board of Pharmacy.
- Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, and mathematical skills.
- General knowledge of how third-party payers and insurance plans operate.
- Experience with systems and software including but not limited to: ScriptPro, Chrome/IE, Tricare Formulary Search, and pharmacy filling systems.
