Job Description
The Boston Water and Sewer Commission is seeking a Project Engineer to assist senior-level engineers in construction, surveying, inspection, and scheduling. Responsibilities include reviewing reports, coordinating activities, resolving conflicts, and ensuring contractor compliance with Commission Standards. The role involves site visits, customer communication, and managing documentation for construction contracts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate in Massachusetts is desirable
- Massachusetts Driver's License
- Knowledge of civil engineering and construction practices
- Knowledge of water and sewer drainage systems
- Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations governing water and sewer systems
- Ability to apply scientific and engineering principles to analyze engineering problems
- Ability to design solutions to engineering problems
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications
