Boston Medical Center is seeking a motivated Infectious disease or Internal Medicine-trained pharmacist to join as a Clinical Specialist. The Clinical Specialist will be trained in covering medicine infectious diseases, infectious diseases consult, antimicrobial stewardship, and general medicine shifts.
Requirements
- Requires at a minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and at least five years of pertinent work experience
- PGY2 training in internal medicine or infectious diseases is preferred
- Work requires licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of Massachusetts and/or eligible for licensure in the state of Massachusetts
- Deep knowledge of medications, their effects, drug interactions, medical procedures and therapies, diagnosis and disease states required
- Effective interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with hospital staff, patients, families/visitors, physicians, colleagues, and others
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize essential tasks and meet deadlines
- An organized work style and ability to keep well written documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess self-management skills and require little to no supervision
- Must possess and exhibit process improvement skills and acumen
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with Microsoft programs (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and web browsers
