Respite Aide (CNA)

The Respite Aide (CNA or MA) is an important role at the Barbara McInnis House, providing clinical support services to patients and assisting team RNs. The position is crucial to ensuring continuity of patient care and providing an essential link for communication involving all departments.

Requirements

• Medical terminology
• Vital signs
• Proficient with basic computer skills
• Ability to operate basic office equipment (fax, copier)
• Proficient reading and writing skills in English
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Phlebotomy preferred
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Minimum of two years' experience as a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant
• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), successful completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) program
• Life support training certification (e.g. CPR, BLS, ACLS) from a course that includes a hands-on, in-person component
