Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design and development of Atlas's grippers, working on novel mechanisms and assemblies to balance dexterity, force capability, manufacturability, and durability.
Requirements
- Contribute to the design of key gripper subsystems
- Develop and analyze mechanisms that balance dexterity, payload, and reliability
- Apply engineering fundamentals across materials, tribology, thermals, and tolerance stack-ups
- Use CAD and analysis tools to model, simulate, and validate designs
- Collaborate with electrical, controls, and manufacturing engineers
- Support prototyping, bring-up, and issue resolution
