Senior Propulsion Engineer – Turbine Systems Aerodynamics and Design

Boom is hiring a Senior Propulsion Engineer to lead the development of the Symphony turbine system. The successful candidate will design, optimize, and build high-performance turbine systems that make supersonic travel possible. Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field
• Self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills who can be a team player and solve challenging problems
• Design experience in axial turbomachinery leading various different phases of the design process using different fidelity of the tools such as meanline, 2D analyses, and 3D analyses
• Proficiency in CAD to support the module integration efforts in the engine
• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages
• Experience working with engine cycle analysis tools such as NPSS or PyCycle
