Senior Robotics AI Engineer (f/m/x)

We are looking for a Senior Robotics AI Engineer to advance embodied intelligence at the BMW Group by tailoring and deploying robotic foundation models. The ideal candidate will have expertise in foundation models, specifically multimodal, reasoning and vision-language-action models, diffusion models, and modern finetuning methods.

Requirements

• University degree (Master’s or PhD) in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in robotics or applied ML with production deployments in manipulation or mobile robotics.
• Deep expertise in foundation models, specifically multimodal, reasoning and vision-language-action models, diffusion models, and modern finetuning methods (PEFT, DPO, RLHF).
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++ and experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or JAX, CUDA).
• Hands-on experience with industrial or research robots and simulators (e.g., ROS 2, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo); knowledge of kinematics, motion planning, and control.
