The Maintenance Technician III provides work direction to maintenance staff and performs a variety of maintenance-related tasks and duties as needed to meet College needs. This position requires a specialization in carpentry, plumbing, painting, and/or HVAC, and experience in general repairs and maintenance to building construction systems.
Requirements
- Provide work direction to Maintenance Technician I and II
- Prepare and coordinate work order assignments
- Operate computers using maintenance management software
- Monitor building automation systems
- Instruct employees in safety practices and procedures
- Recommend and purchase materials and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair on electrical appliances, motors, HVAC, and plumbing equipment
- Keep records, reports and other documentation
- Perform complex mechanical maintenance and repair work on large heating and cooling systems
- Maintain grounds, campus roads, sidewalks, and parking lots
