Senior Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear Pipe Stress

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear Pipe Stress to join their team. This role involves leading design execution efforts for ASME Section III, ASME B31.1, and related projects within a global environment, focusing on piping stress analysis and compliance. The position offers growth opportunities in the Power, Gas, and Infrastructure sectors.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience relevant to nuclear pipe stress analysis and piping design.
• Technical depth with ASME BPVC Section III-1 NB (Class 1), NCD (Class 2 & Class 3), and NF (Supports), ASME NQA-1, ASME B31.1 Power Piping Code.
• Intermediate knowledge of ASME BPVC Section III, Division 5 (High Temperature Reactors).
• Working knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Sections I, II, and VIII.
• Working knowledge of other design standards and specifications such as API, ASTM, and AWWA.
• Working knowledge of AutoPIPE stress analysis software.
• Intermediate knowledge of ANSYS Mechanical and basic FEA principles.
• Working knowledge of other disciplines, industry and technology trends, company quality program, principles of construction and constructability practices, and procurement and contract administration.
• Advanced ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned.
