Recovery Coach

The Recovery Coach plays a vital role in supporting patients with opioid use disorder by providing peer-based recovery support as part of the Bicycle Health care team. The Recovery Coach meets with clients on a regular basis, documents the visit, provides peer support and reviews recovery goals. This role is crucial in delivering holistic care services by providing support across multiple systems and frameworks of care.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience as a peer recovery coach, peer support worker or addiction counselor.
• Minimum two years of experience in a medical practice or behavioral health field, including documentation within the electronic health record and close communication with providers.
• Personal experience with substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and recovery
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Exhibits cultural awareness and responsiveness
• Understanding of confidentiality requirements for the handling of client information
• Ability to practice self-care to maintain emotional and mental well-being
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
