Job Description
Betterment is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their growing brokerage platform. The role involves scaling backend systems, solving complex issues, optimizing performance, and collaborating with other engineers. This is an in-office position based in New York City.
Requirements
- 3+ years professional experience in at least one object-oriented language, preferably Java
- 3+ years professional experience with SQL and relational databases
- Strong command of fundamental algorithms and data structures
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to complex projects and independently deliver small features
- Appreciation for agility and pragmatism in software development
