Job Description
VIPcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide administrative and clinical support to physicians and patients. This role involves patient intake, examination, record keeping, medication dispensing, and assisting with various clinical tasks. The position prioritizes patient care and teamwork, with a focus on best practices in healthcare delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Accredited Medical Assistant program (RMA or CMA preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- CPR certification (preferred)
- IV Start Certification (preferred)
- Phlebotomy experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical coding (preferred)
- Knowledge of HIPPA, OSHA, and common prescription medications (preferred)
- Working knowledge of common prescription medications (preferred)
- Basic computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Office) (preferred)
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs and operate a computer
- Valid Driver's License
