CNC Fabrication Operator

Our Client is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to set up and operate CNC equipment in a sheet metal fabrication environment. This role includes supporting initial production runs where programming, fixturing, and machining methods are still being developed.

Requirements

• Set up and operate bending, laser cutting, and punching machines.
• Assist in debugging operating or programming problems with high laser cut quality parts.
• Work / inspect parts according to blueprints.
• Maintain high standards of quality by making sure that parts passed on to a subsequent work center are good.
• Assist in CNC areas operational activities and special projects to ensure quality and meet timetables.
• Maintain CNC machines, area and other tools in good condition by performing 5S and TPM activities on a regular basis.
• Ensure inventory levels of sheet metal storage system.
• Use a variety of tools and machines, such as forklifts, overhead cranes, drill press, power drills, air tools, grinders.
• Deburr, grind and clean sheet metal parts.
• Lift up to 70 lbs.
• Participate in daily shopfloor management meeting and be an active member of SYNCHRO Plus activities.
• Actively contribute to departments SYNCHRO events and tasks for the CNC Operating area.
