Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer position available at Spencer Engineering, a division of BESTECH. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the engineering of mechanical components of mine hoisting systems, independently perform calculations, and lead small-to-medium scale projects. The role offers exposure to complex engineering tasks and provides opportunities to apply and expand your knowledge of mechanical systems in mining operations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of related experience
• A degree in mechanical engineering
• Registered with PEO, and holds a Professional Engineering License (P.Eng), or equivalent in Canada
• Knowledge of industry best practices, codes, and regulations
• Familiarity with Autodesk drafting and design software tools
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites applications
• Strong analytical skills
• Intermediate project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high quality work
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and sustainable design practices
• Valid Drivers License
• Valid Passport
