Intermediate Electrical Engineer

BESTECH is a multi-disciplinary engineering services firm seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer with 7+ years of experience in low/medium/high voltage power distribution. The role involves complex calculations, code reviews, drafting designs, and leading large projects. Requirements

• 7+ years of related low/medium/high voltage power distribution experience
• A degree in electrical engineering
• Registered with PEO, and holds a Professional Engineering License (P.Eng), or equivalent in Canada
• Substation design experience considered an asset
• Pole Line design experience considered an asset
• Familiarity with power systems including power systems studies (load flow and protective device coordination using Easypower, SKM and ETAP), project scopes, project schedules and deliverables
• Strong industrial experience, with experience in surface and underground mining
• Knowledge of mining-related processes a definite asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites applications
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong project management skills considered an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and sustainable design practices
• Valid Drivers License
