Job Description
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance tasks to repair appliances and preserve the quality of a facility. This role involves quality checks on HVAC and electrical systems, responding to security and safety issues, testing maintenance products, and coordinating deliveries. The position requires strong physical skills, organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Requirements
- Performing quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems
- Checking and responding to security and safety issues
- Testing and recommending new maintenance products
- Coordinating deliveries from vendors and suppliers
- Coordinating landscaping, pool maintenance and pest control
- Keeping an inventory of cleaning and repairing supplies
- Training junior staff (if applicable)
- Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move and handle equipment
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
