This entry-level position will work in a survey team, maintaining and operating GPS and conventional surveying instruments, and assisting in production of topographic and boundary surveys.
Requirements
- Maintain and operate GPS and conventional surveying instruments
- Assist in production of topographic and boundary surveys
- Learn process of organizing field notes
- Learn to read construction plans to ensure accurate area to be surveyed
- Perform manual labor, such as cutting brush for lines, carrying stakes, rebar, tools, and equipment
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
- Good math skills (ability to: add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Knowledge in MS Office and technical software
- Ability to pass safety and certification classes (including First Aid and CPR) and exhibit safety oriented mentality
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge and/or ability to learn survey software/CAD software and Trimble Business Center
- Ability to embrace new technologies and processes
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
