Job Description
Barrios Technology is seeking a Space Environment Engineer to contribute to NASA's deep space exploration efforts. The role involves providing systems engineering support for NASA programs like Gateway and Axiom Station, evaluating induced environmental hazards, and analyzing contamination risks. Barrios is a woman-owned and operated small business supporting the commercial spaceflight industry with engineering, software, and related technology integrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience
- 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- CAD and 3D modeling software experience (Creo, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Experience with meshing and finite element analysis software (Femap, NX Advanced Simulation, Ansys, etc.)
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Experience in Computer Programming
- Strong analytical and computational skills (CFD and thermal analysis skills/experience are transferable)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary field
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
