Job Description
This PRN Swing Shift Patient Access Specialist role involves serving as a liaison between patients, payers, healthcare team members, and financial services, ensuring accurate patient tracking, billing, and coordination of medical records. The role focuses on maximizing hospital reimbursement by verifying demographics and secure authorizations. This position is part of a rapidly growing Emerus facility partnering with healthcare systems in the El Paso Market.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of patient registration and insurance verification experience
- Knowledge of various insurance plans (HMO, PPO, POS, Medicare, Medicaid) and payors
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Excellent customer service
- Working knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Fluency in English & Spanish
