Job Description
BambooHR is seeking a Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect their systems and data. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, vulnerability assessments, incident response, risk management, security policies, and training. The position will require some in-office days per week and may require occasional travel. It's a hybrid position focusing on securing systems and networks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- 4 years of experience in a security engineering role
- Hands-on experience securing modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD pipelines)
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and information security concepts
- Experience with security tools and technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and drive security initiatives
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are desirable
