The Sr. Estimating Manager is responsible for leading the estimating team and overseeing the preparation of accurate and competitive bids for electrical construction projects.
Requirements
- Lead the estimating team in the preparation of detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for electrical construction projects.
- Develop and implement best practices for estimating processes, cost control, and pricing strategies.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and site conditions to determine project scope and requirements.
- Work closely with preconstruction, project management, and business development teams to align estimating efforts with company objectives.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with project requirements.
- Provide detailed risk assessments and cost analyses for project bids.
- Oversee the development of conceptual and design-build estimates, collaborating with engineering and design teams.
- Ensure estimates are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with market conditions.
- Maintain relationships with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to enhance business opportunities.
- Train, mentor, and develop junior estimators and team members.
