Finance Manager - Private Credit Portfolio & Performance Analytics

Bain Capital is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the Private Credit Portfolio & Performance Analytics team. The successful candidate will have experience in performance measurement, portfolio analytics, and investment reporting, with a strong understanding of private credit and global financial markets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in performance measurement, portfolio analytics, or investment reporting
• Private credit experience required—strong familiarity with credit terms, market structure and dynamics, and common LP / consultant data requests
• Broader understanding of global financial markets preferred
• Excellent communication skills; able to synthesize analyses clearly and articulate insights in a concise and compelling manner
• Strong understanding of performance measurement calculations, methodologies, and differences
• Familiarity with Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) and related representations
• Prior experience with track record or Statement of Investments (SOI) preparation a plus
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
• High attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams, manage multiple priorities, and triage competing requests effectively
• Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, accountable, and self-driven; capable of “connecting the dots” and executing with minimal guidance
• Experience developing or improving processes and workflows within complex organizations
• Technical proficiency or willingness to learn quickly: SQL, Python, Snowflake, Power BI, Fabric (DAX)
• Four-year college degree with a strong academic background
• Major in accounting, finance or related degree required
• CFA/CAIA a plus
