Bailes Bates & Associates, LLP is seeking a CPA to join their full-service firm. The firm offers top-notch service and is well-regarded in the Houston area. Responsibilities include preparing federal and state tax returns and conducting tax research and planning.

Requirements

• Preparation of federal and state income tax returns for all types of entities, trusts and individuals.
• Tax research and planning both domestic and foreign.
• Calculation and preparation of tax extension payments.
• Calculation of estimated tax payments.
• Direct communication with clients.
• Ability to analyze, research and interpret tax issues, document and communicate findings.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and have strong rapport with the team.
• Must be self-motivated, capable of taking initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing priorities, and effectively manage deadlines.
• Strong communication skills.
• Previous work experience demonstrating knowledge of general policies and procedures followed in an accounting/tax department.
