Field Sales Engineer, Mid-Atlantic

Axis Communications is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to support the Mid-Atlantic Business Area, covering the greater Maryland/DC region. The ideal candidate will reside within a reasonable driving distance of Baltimore, MD, and should be prepared to travel approximately 50%–70% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent skills-based training in an electronic field trade.
• 4+ years security industry experience, preferably in a customer-facing pre-sales role, and/or physical security markets.
• Axis Certified Professional preferred
• Strong knowledge of the physical security and IT markets.
• Experience with troubleshooting advanced network issues.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Routers, Switches, VPN’s, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of video transport protocols and compression technologies.
• Ability to cohesively across multiple departments (internally & externally) to ensure that expectations and performance goals are met in a timely and professional manner
